Tube Laser Cutting
Tube laser cutting or 3D laser cutting works on a multi-axis basis where the tube is rotated by a large chuck and the laser then cuts the necessary holes, apertures and profiles. This is a highly accurate method of cutting metal tube and has many advantages over traditional “sawing” methods.
With the recent addition of the Tube Laser Cutting Amada FOM2 Laser, Jobsite now offers not only flat sheet processing, but 3D rotary laser cutting. This laser cutting technology can precisely cut round tube, square and rectangle tube as well as channel and angle to a 8” diameter, ¼” thick. Also utilizing WACS (water assisted cutting system), Jobsite can cut thicker metal (up to 1 1/4”or 3/4” in production mode) with cleaner edge and consistent cut quality.
